Postpartum Support Center
The Marin Family CARE (Creating Access to Resilient and Equitable beginnings) Collective is a formal partnership between Parent Services Project, Postpartum Support Center, North Marin Community Services, Jewish Family and Children’s Services and First 5 Marin/Help Me Grow Marin. The focus of this partnership is to support the behavioral health needs of birthing people and children 0-5 in Marin County by creating a wraparound continuum of care. A central component of the program is the Parent Support Cohort, where families are enrolled in a weekly cohort of children with similar due dates/birth dates. Depending where families reside in Marin County, their Parent Support Cohort will be hosted by either Postpartum Support Center (PPSC) or Parent Services Project (PSP).
Participants in each Parent Support Cohort will receive access to comprehensive behavioral
health services and supports from each of the core partner agencies. The offerings provided by Parent Support Cohorts are intended to be holistic, considering the multi-faceted experience and needs of diverse birthing parents and families of young children at each stage of their development. As families participate in their Cohort, and concerns or issues are raised, they will receive coordinated, closed-loop referrals to core partners, as well as other county agencies and CBOs, depending on their unique needs.
Two Family Support Cohort Coordinator positions are available. One will be employed by Parent Services Project and one will be employed by Postpartum Support Center.
